We Are Calypso

A small family-run boat rental company based in Turanj, Croatia, operating since 2019. Located just 4 km from Biograd na Moru, right in the heart of Dalmatia, Turanj is the perfect starting point for daily boat excursions - explore hidden bays, visit secluded beaches, or dedicate a full day to the breathtaking Kornati National Park or Telašćica Nature Park.

Our fleet includes two Nuova Jolly inflatable RIBs and two Atlantic Marine open motorboats - all fully equipped with GPS, fish finder, bimini top, outdoor speakers and life jackets. In addition to bareboat rentals, we also organise private excursions to Kornati with a skipper - a perfect solution for families and small groups who prefer to sit back and enjoy the scenery.

Everything you need to know before your rental

Calypso Rent a Boat is located in Turanj, just 4 km from Biograd na Moru on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia. Our dock is at Obala Dr. Franje Tuđmana 130, Turanj.
We offer four boats across two categories: two Nuova Jolly inflatable RIBs - the King 720 Extreme (250HP Honda, up to 12 persons) and the Black Fin 23 Elegance (250HP Evinrude, up to 12 persons) - and two Atlantic Marine 530 Open motorboats (100HP Honda, up to 6 persons each). All boats are fully equipped with GPS, fish finder, bimini top, outdoor speakers and life jackets.
Yes. A valid nautical license (Category B or higher) is required to rent a motorboat in Croatia. All renters must present a valid license at the time of rental. If you don't have a license, you can book a private guided excursion to Kornati - no license required.
Daily rental prices for the Atlantic 530 Open start from 180 EUR in low season. The larger RIBs (King 720 Extreme and Black Fin 23 Elegance) start from 270 EUR per day in low season, rising to 330 EUR in peak season (July–August). All prices include VAT; fuel is not included.
Yes! We organise private family excursions to Kornati National Park upon request. This is a guided trip - you don't need a license. Contact us directly for pricing and availability.
No, fuel is not included. You receive the boat with a full tank and return it full. Our larger RIBs (King 720 Extreme and Black Fin 23 Elegance) consume roughly 25 L/h at cruise speed; the Atlantic 530 Open uses around 10 L/h. Fuel is available at marinas in Biograd na Moru and throughout the area.
You will need a valid nautical licence (Category B or higher) and a valid ID or passport. A refundable security deposit is required at pick-up - 500 EUR for the King 720 Extreme and Black Fin 23 Elegance, and 400 EUR for the Atlantic 530 Open. The deposit is returned in full at the end of the rental, provided there is no damage.
Turanj is ideally positioned for day trips across the Zadar and Biograd archipelago. Popular destinations include Kornati National Park (approx. 30–45 min by boat), Telašćica Nature Park on Dugi Otok, the islands of Pašman, Murter and Žirje, and dozens of uninhabited islets with crystal-clear coves. The historic old town of Biograd na Moru is right around the corner.
The shoulder seasons (May–June and September) offer warm weather, calm seas and lower prices - ideal for exploring the islands without peak-season crowds. July and August are the most popular months, so we recommend booking early to secure your preferred dates.
